Deon’s craft eventually took him across the ocean to the United Kingdom. It was there that he identified a need for specialized equipment that combined durability with portability. Applying his technical skill, he launched a successful business manufacturing wooden, transportable massage beds. These weren't just tools of the trade; they were carefully engineered pieces of furniture designed to support wellness professionals on the move.

Returning to Roots

While his time in the UK was pivotal, the call of the Mother City was too strong to ignore. Deon returned to Cape Town, bringing back a wealth of international experience and a renewed commitment to his craft.

Today, The Trading Kollective serves as the culmination of that journey. Even as the business flourished at home, Deon maintained his connection to the UK, making regular trips to visit his daughter and staying inspired by global design trends.
